    By Air:

There are no airports directly serving Rwenzori Mountains National Park. However, you can fly to nearby towns such as Kasese or Fort Portal and then travel to the park by road. Charter flights may also be available to airstrips near the park, but these would need to be arranged in advance.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe/Kampala

Arrive in Uganda and transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala. Spend the day resting and preparing for your upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Transfer to Kasese.

Start your journey from Kasese to Nyakalengija, the trailhead for the Central Circuit trek.

Trek through the giant lobelias and heather as you ascend further into the Rwenzoris.  Pass by  Lake Bujuku, surrounded by dramatic scenery.  Arrive at Bujuku Hut, located near the shores of Lake Bujuku.  Overnight at Bujuku Hut.

 

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy your breakfast and transfer from the Rwenzori Mountains to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening.  This journey can take several hours by road, so plan accordingly.

Dinner and overnight at Rushaga gorilla harvens lodge.

 

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Enjoy your morning breakfast and drive to the park headquarters  for a briefing on the rules and regulations of trekking gorillas. You will then be divided into groups of 8 who will enter into the jungle and start the trekking. Once you come across these gorillas, you will be given a maximum time of over 1 hour to stay with these gorillas as you are having fun and taking photos.

 

Day 7: Leisure Day in Bwindi
