The Bukurungu path was constructed subsequent to the Central Circuit and Kilembe main trails.  The trail is perfect for people who enjoy being in the outdoors because it passes by mountain rivers, waterfalls, and verdant surroundings while offering breathtaking scenery and four lovely lakes (Mughuli, Bukurungu, Bujuku, and Irene). Similar to Kilembe, this track requires eight days to complete, including a mandatory stop at Magherita Peak.

Made up of six summits, including Mount Stanley at 5,109 meters, Mount Speke at 4,890 meters, Mount Baker at 4,843 meters, Mount Emin at 4,798 meters, Mount Gessi at 4,715 meters, and Mount Luigi di Savoia at 4,627 meters, it is shattered by deep valleys. The highest point of Mount Stanley is Margherita, with several smaller summits nearby.

An excellent location for trekking and mountaineering is the Rwenzori Mountains. Both novice and expert hikers can finish the journey to the summit and out of the park in 7–12 days.

However, for shorter and less taxing hikes, there are the 28-kilometer Mahoma Nature Trail, which can be completed in two to three days. Other options include nature excursions through Bakonzo Village, visits to homesteads, cultural performances, and other traditional activities.
