Day 1Kilembe to Sine Camp

On this day, you will begin your trek from Kilembe and hike to Sine Camp. This initial leg usually takes around 5-6 hours.
The trail winds through lush forests and meadows, gradually ascending in elevation. Continue with the hike and arrive to Sine camp where you will have dinner and an overnight.

Day 2Sine Camp to Mutinda Camp

Enjoy your morning breakfast and depart Sine Camp continuing your journey to Mutinda Camp. Expect a hike of approximately 4-5 hours.

Along the way, you will traverse varied terrain, including rocky paths and alpine vegetation. Continue with your hike arriving at Mutinda camp where you will have dinner and spend a night.

Day 3Mutinda Camp to Bugata Camp

Enjoy your morning tea and Leave Mutinda Camp behind to  trek to Bugata Camp.   This portion of the hike typically takes 4-6 hours.  Enjoy the stunning scenery as you ascend further into the mountains arriving at Bugata camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4Bugata Camp to Hunwick Camp

Enjoy your cup of coffee and  depart Bugata Camp,  make your way to Hunwick Camp and  Plan for a hike of about 5-6 hours.  As you approach Hunwick Camp, you will be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Upon arrival, pinch your tent for dinner and overnight at Hunwick camp.

Day 5Hunwick Camp to Mount Baker Base Camp

Enjoy your breakfast and Leave Hunwick Camp and head towards the base of Mount Baker.  This day’s hike can take around 5-7 hours, depending on conditions. Set up camp at the base of Mount Baker in preparation for the summit attempt. Dinner and overnight at Mount Baker camp.

Day 6Summit Mount Baker and Weismann Peak

Enjoy your breakfast and rise early for the summit push to Mount Baker and Weismann Peak.  Summit attempts typically begin before dawn to take advantage of clear weather and stable snow conditions.  The ascent can be challenging, involving steep sections and possibly snow and ice.

After reaching the summits, descend back to the base camp. Dinner and overnight at Weisman peak.

Day 7Return to Kilembe

Enjoy your breakfast and descend from the base camp back to Hunwick Camp. Continue the descent to Bugata Camp, then Mutinda Camp, and finally back to Kilembe.  This day’s hike can take around 7-9 hours, depending on your pace and trail conditions.

Celebrate your accomplishments upon returning to Kilembe and conclude your trek.

Note

Remember to pack appropriate gear for high-altitude trekking, including warm clothing, waterproof layers, sturdy hiking boots, and camping equipment. It’s also advisable to hire an experienced guide and arrange your trek through a reputable tour operator for safety and support throughout the journey.

What is cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is designed to be as flexible and understanding as possible. If you need to cancel your trek for any reason, here’s what you can expect:

1. More than 30 days before departure: You can cancel your trip for a full refund, minus a small administrative fee to cover processing costs.
2. Between 15 to 30 days before departure: We offer a 50% refund of the total trip cost, as we may have already incurred costs on your behalf.
3. Less than 15 days before departure: Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund as we will have committed resources to your trek by this time.
